Have you ever been jumped by the police for using it?

That's pretty intense but I suppose I could see why a cop might make that assumption. Around here though, so many people are vaping now that the only reason a cop might get involved is if someone is being belligerent and refusing to not vape in a business or workplace.

 

I've never had any problems with vaping and the police. People have been asking me what I'm doing and that it looks suspicious though. :mrgreen: But when I explain that it's just vapor people generally have a quite positive view on it.

 

I've had a few eyes staring at me from the police but never have they tried running after me or shouting towards me for having it. I find it stupid how they would make such an assumption without even questioning you.

 

Never had trouble with the authorities about vaping. More so with elderly people who thought it was some kind of new drug and who gave me angry stares whenever I vaped near them.

 

Well, vaping itself looks quite odd. Also, if you look suspicious they might start interrogating you. I've personally never been jumped by the police for vaping, but there are still some cases like that.

 

Indeed vaping looks wierd. I never had any police issues but I noticed that some people were looking wierd at me. Most of them were kids, one of them thought my vaper was a lollypop because the of it's bright colour.

 

I've never been jumped by the police, nor had an incident personally, but my friend once had an old woman yell at her for "doing drugs" in broad daylight and tell her what a disgrace to humanity she was. Once my friend stopped laughing, she explained that it was just a new form of smoking, like a modern cigarette. The lady stopped berating her at least.

 

Back before you could buy these anywhere, I got pulled over once because an officer thought I was smoking weed.

The one I had at the time did produce a lot more vapor and I didn't have my windows rolled down for some reason, so I can see why he thought that.

He was super nice about it, and we got into a pretty lengthy discussion about it. Turned out, he wanted to quit smoking and after talking about it, decided he'd give it a try. I remember giving him one of the business cards I had for a store I was buying my stuff from.

One of my friends is a police officer, and said a lot of people were getting pulled over because at the time, cops weren't that aware of them and thought people were driving around smoking weed.

 

I honestly can`t understand were all this paranoia comes from. Every time a new technology shows up, people are afraid of it and think it is bad. Must be human nature I guess. :?

 

I haven't noticed it that much lately. I know a few months ago, a bunch of teenagers got busted outside of our mall with them. Apparently gas stations around here are selling the cheap ecigs to teenagers with IDing them. I don't understand that. It contains nicotine, and it specifically says you need to be 18+ to purchase it.

I think officers were more interested in cracking down on the stores doing that, instead of actually getting the kids in trouble themselves.
