Since I started vaping I've had various reactions from both friends and strangers
most have been positive but there have been some negative reactions as well.

I'm happy to say I have managed to convince several people to give vaping a
try and will happily tell people about my experience with vaping and allow them to try my Ego kit if they want to. Some of my friends have ended up going out and buying a kit after they've seen how easily I've given up smoking.

Sadly I've also been told that I'm still smoking through using the E-cigarette or
that I have no idea of how harmful it could be to myself or others around me. I
feel there is a lack of understanding of the true facts due to misleading articles
in the news and very few of these people will believe that nicotine itself is not nearly as harmful as all of the other nasty chemicals in real cigarettes.

The negative attitudes aren't helped by governments who are trying to ban or regulate E-cigarettes or the large pharmaceutical companies who seem to be behind most of the current studies into E-cigarette use.

I usually try to explain a bit more about vaping to anyone who tells me that
vaping is bad, dangerous or should be banned. I try to point out the good
things such as the improvement I've noticed in my health but there's no doubt that in some cases I'm banging my head against a brick wall.

How do you deal with people who are negative towards you using E-cigarettes
do you try to explain the other side of it or just let them think what they like?

Very nice post, I myself tend to provide a few facts to the benefits of vaping but once I feel like I am talking to a wall I let the matter drop.

Ultimately, I feel that the move away from tobacco to electronic devices has too much momentum to be stopped in the way some of these anti tobacco groups and Big Tobacco/Pharma would like to see.

The best way to deal with negative attitudes towards electronic cigarettes is to take the high road and ignore the small minded people. If you cannot then to counter the negative things they are saying with positive things is a great a mature way of dealing with that too. There will be negative talkers everytime something new changes the way things have been. Many people do not understand and therfore negative is all they can do.
