Single Coil vs Dual Coil

I used the single coil kanger tanks for awhile and running my battery at 4 volts on my vision spinner vape pen, it was a pretty good vape. But, when I bought my iClear 30B tank with dual coils, at the same voltage the flavor and amount of vapor was much better.

Now that I am building my own coils, I typically only build dual coils because I like the extra flavor and vapor that is produced.

I do still build a higher ohm single coil on one specific tank that I put on my ProVari for when I am out driving around.

Over all I really love my dual coils

 

I've tried both single and dual coils, but for me there's no difference. It just feels the same. I'm not very good at spotting differences, so correct me if I'm wrong.

 

I've never seen any kind of noticeable difference in taste either. I suppose there IS no difference (except that one has 2 coils).

 

There is supposed to be a flavor difference and vapor production difference in dual vs single. Supposedly dual coils make more vapor and allow for better flavor taste. But I have personally noticed that my dual coil tanks tend to provide less taste :?: :!: But they do make more of a ruckus when heating up, Popping and crackling and whatnot, and they do seem to make more vapor. Im not into rebuilables. I just keep top single coil tanks, and bottom dual coil tanks on hand for daily vaping.

 

So are two coils better after all?

 

I think it really depends on your juice as well. I know when I was using the Dekang juices it was a different consistency and the double coil versions worked those juices so much better. Now that I am using a local dealer for my juices, which are slightly thinner, the single coils seem to do better. When i tried to the double coil with my local juices they seemed to burn too fast and I would frequently get a burnt taste with them.

 

I stick with dual coils since I build my own. I prefer the direct lung inhales so this allows me to utilize my larger guage kenthal wires, and with the added airflow on both sides of the RDA it helps produce pretty good clouds at .5-.7 ohm builds. I tend to stick with dual micro coils with 28ga with cotton as the filler.
