Who has a mod with temp control?
Is it worth getting and what does it do for you to use it?

I just have the kbox mini 50w and it does not have temp control so I wanted to know what does it do for me to get a box that has temp control.

Well you use less juice and battery power. You also don't get dry hits because nickel is predictable in heating and with a TC mod it's able to sense the coil thus keeping the entire thing at a constant temp. When the temp gets hotter than it should it knows the coil is dry and won't let you take a dry hit.

I have a Sigelei 75w TC and its just sick. I'm running a Plume Veil with two 10 wrap coils and what [email protected] was saying is true.

I think I should try it sometime soon now, But I usually just use my tank. It works well and I like it.

I have the Reuleaux by Jaybo Designs and Wismec coming in this afternoon (fingers crossed). It's be my first foray into the TC world. I've heard mixed things–including some people who end up going back to simple kanthal builds and others who only do TC. I don't have any nickel wire on hand so I won't be finding out today. Though I am going to miss my fused claptons, I'm not sure but I think the fancy coils are not possible to use with TC (though I don't really have a clue).

It's called the Reuleaux DNA 200. It's takes 3 18650's instead of LiPo packs. They can be found here. They look gorgeous imo, and the increased battery life over the Vaporshark DNA 200 is a big pro for me. (I got 3 fresh LG HG2's so the 9000 total mah capacity is going to make me a very happy guy.)

Awesome! We have the Venti and the Presa by Wismec. Definitely some quality mods. I'm sure you are going to love yours! Looking forward to hearing what you think about it.

I never bothered with my TC until last week,I had a bit of spare time so put a dual Verticle nickel coil build in my Aromiser,Set the temp to 359°C and adjusted the joules till I got the right vape for me.Cool and Flavoursome. It is worth having a go if you have that feature,Like jaiD said you don't get a dry hit.

I'm not crazy about temp control. If setup right it isn't a bad vape, but it's really designed more for government regulators than for vapers. Burnt hits are bad by all accounts. However, they happen because you are doing something wrong. Bad wicking, too much power for your build, wrong build for your device, out of juice... whatever the reason for your dry hit, temp control doesn't fix it. It's like a run flat tire. It will get you down the road, but your tire is still damaged when you get there. It's nice to not burn up your wick because you're out of juice. Temp control can prevent that, but so can filling your tank which you will have to do either way. I prefer just building with kanthal and paying attention to my vape.

It's not just about getting dry hits buddy, Flavour and vapour production,Warmth of your vape can be increased using Titanium or nicrome builds,But I get what you are saying. It is a nice feature to use if set up correctly.
Set your Temp and adjust the joules,it's nice to have a little play, like you enjoy playing with your Kanthal, it's just each to their own.

Yeah, I'm not raining on anyone's parade who likes it. I actually like the prebuilt nickel coils for the Zephyrus. Great vape. My mod runs watts and temp as opposed to joules, and having the right setting in both is the key to tailoring your vape. My point was simply to the "no dry hits" that people keep mentioning. That's more of a selling point to regulators as it reduces the chemicals in the vape. For the end user if you're getting dry hits you're doing something wrong, and switching to ni200 and a TC mod won't fix the issue causing the dry or burnt hit, it just prevents the actual burnt hit.
